USA Blackjack Sites publishes reviews and guides that people use to make decisions about real money. That responsibility shapes everything below. These standards describe how we research, write, review, and maintain our content, and they are public for a reason: so you can hold us to them. If we ever fall short of what is on this page, that is a failure on our part, not a fine-print exception.

Hands-On, First-Hand Reviews

We do not review sites we have not used. Every operator we rate is one we have signed up with, funded, and played at with our own money. For legal, regulated sites we do most of this testing in person, on regular trips to New Jersey’s licensed market, where we deposit, claim bonuses, play RNG and live dealer tables, contact support, and request withdrawals. For offshore operators we test remotely, exactly as a player would. Our full method, including the twelve factors we score, is documented on our how we rate page. When a review describes how a site actually behaves, that description comes from experience, not from the operator’s own marketing.

Accuracy and Sourcing

Every factual claim we make about a site’s games, bonuses, banking, or state availability is verified against a primary source: the operator directly, and the relevant state gaming authority where the market is regulated. We do not source facts from other review sites, because errors propagate that way and we would rather be the site that got it right. When we state a launch date, a license holder, or a point of law, it traces back to an official record. If we cannot verify a claim, we leave it out rather than guess.

Editorial Independence

Our reviews and rankings are editorially independent of our business relationships. We earn commissions from some of the operators we list, which we explain in full on our affiliate disclosure page, but that revenue has no influence on our editorial judgment. No operator can pay for a higher rating, a better position in our rankings, or the removal of criticism. The rule is absolute: a site we earn from that performs badly gets a critical review, and a site we earn nothing from that is excellent gets our recommendation.

Avoiding Conflicts of Interest

The people who write and edit our reviews do not hold positions with the operators we cover, and commercial partnerships are negotiated separately from, and never discussed within, our editorial process. A writer scoring a site does not know or care whether that site is a commercial partner, because the scoring is done against the same published criteria for every operator. Keeping those two functions apart is the single most important thing we do to protect the value of a review.

Expertise and Authorship

Our content is written by named people with relevant experience, not anonymous freelancers. Between our team we have more than 35 years of combined blackjack experience, a former college mathematics instructor who checks our odds and payout claims, and a paralegal who tracks gambling law. Review and Fact-Checking Process

Content is drafted by our writers and reviewed by our editor before it is published. Anything touching state law or licensing gets an additional review from our team member with a paralegal background, because a mistake about what is legal in a given state is not a small error, it is one that can genuinely mislead someone. Nothing about the law goes live without that second set of eyes.

Keeping Content Current

U.S. online gambling law changes state by state, often multiple times a year, and operator terms change even more frequently. We review our guides and reviews on an ongoing basis and update them whenever the facts move: a new legal market, a changed bonus, a shift in which states a site accepts, or a change in how quickly it pays. We treat keeping a page current as part of keeping it accurate, not as an optional extra, because an out-of-date page can mislead a reader just as easily as a wrong one.

Corrections and Feedback

When we get something wrong, we correct it, and we would rather fix a mistake than defend it. If you spot an error, or a site’s terms have changed since we last looked, tell us and we will update the page. Reader feedback is one of our most reliable ways of catching changes quickly, and we take it seriously.
